Professor Zhao has successively served as a representative of the 9th National People's Congress, a standing committee member of the Chongqing Municipal People's Congress, a legal advisor to the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, a member of the China Economic Law Research Association, an arbitrator of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, an arbitrator of the Chongqing Arbitration Commission, a consultant to the Chongqing Lawyers Association, an independent director of several large state-owned group companies or listed companies such as Chongqing Construction Investment Corporation and Wujiang Electric Power (Group) Co., Ltd. During his tenure as legal advisor to the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, he was personally dispatched by the mayor to handle foreign-related economic and trade disputes in countries such as Libya, France, Italy, and Sweden, achieving good results and receiving praise.
